December 19, 2025

Greetings Middle School Families,
This is definitely the most wonderful time of the year! As 2025 swiftly draws to a close, there is no better time than the present to recount a few of my favorite middle school memories from this semester.
Witnessing the wonderful mix of excitement, nervousness, and energy that filled the quad and gymnasium at our Back to School Bash in August was magical and electrifying. Although we had no idea what to expect of these uncharted waters for the upcoming school year, deep anticipation echoed in the hearts and spirits of our students and staff.
As we got into the swing of things in September and October, routines, procedures, and expectations were put to the test. Together we found our rhythm and learned how to rock and roll, and mesh together as a cohesive Middle School family. September was filled with class trips to Dynamix, Camp Grady Spruce, The Trinity Adventure Park, and the spirited fun of Homecoming Week. Watching students engage with their friends and listening to uncontrollable laughter and chatter helped us all to settle in on this amazing journey.
November was an opportunity for us to give thanks for family, friends, and teachers, and to cherish moments with our grandparents and grandfriends. We learned the value of serving and how to be thankful for the small things. Before we knew it, December arrived and the halls were filled with merry cheer as we prepared to cross the finish line of the first semester.
During this season of giving, we are excited to be partnering with the Upper School Student Council. Please consider donating any of the items on the list of needs from Mission Arlington. We will be delivering our donations after the holidays, so make plans to be a holiday helper owl.
Donations are being collected in your child’s advisory room. Please see the graphic below for needed items.
Whether you are staying home or traveling over the holidays, our hope is that you will make lasting memories to cherish with family and friends. We are grateful to have you as a part of the Oakridge Middle School family and appreciate your continued support.
Happy Holidays!
